These terms explain how coaching and membership work at Badminton Unlimited Club. By joining a session or taking out a membership, you agree to them. Please read them before you join. If anything is unclear, just ask us.
Badminton Unlimited Club is run by Harry Morgan as a sole trader. You can reach us on 0330 133 6122 or by email at harrymorgan@badmintonunlimitedclub.com.
Membership and joining
All coaching runs on a monthly membership. There is no turn up and pay option for our regular classes. You join through our member system and your place is confirmed once your membership is set up.
Memberships are personal to the member named at sign up. They cannot be shared or passed to someone else.
Payments
Membership is paid monthly by direct debit. Your payment is taken automatically each month on the same schedule.
The Thursday and Saturday adult sessions are separate memberships. If you want both, you take out both.
Prices are shown on each programme page. We will always tell you in advance if a price is going to change.
If a payment fails, we will let you know so you can update your card or bank details. Repeated failed payments may mean your place is paused until payment is sorted.
Cancelling your membership
You can cancel your membership by contacting us. We ask for at least two weeks notice before your next payment is due. This lets us manage class numbers and offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
If you cancel with less than two weeks before a payment, that payment will still be taken and your place stays active until the end of that paid month.
Missed sessions and refunds
Membership works like a gym membership. You pay monthly for your place in the class and you come to as many of your sessions as you like. We do not refund or roll over sessions you miss. If you cannot make a session, that is fine, just come along to the next one.
If we have to cancel a session, for example a venue problem or bad weather, we will tell you as soon as we can and we will try to make the time up where we can.
Free trial sessions
We offer a free trial so you can try a session before you join. A trial does not create a membership. To keep coming after your trial, you take out a membership.
Behaviour
We want every session to be friendly, safe and welcoming. We ask all members, and parents, to treat coaches, other players and the venue with respect. We may ask someone to leave a session, or end a membership, if behaviour is unsafe or unfair to others.
Health and fitness
Badminton is active exercise. Please make sure you are well enough to take part. If you have an injury or health condition, tell your coach before the session. You take part at your own risk and you are responsible for your own health.
Juniors and parents
For junior members, a parent or guardian agrees to these terms on the child behalf at sign up. Parents are welcome to stay and watch. Please arrive and collect on time, as coaches cannot supervise children outside session times.
Photos and video
We sometimes take photos or short video at sessions to use on our website and social media. If you, or your child, should not appear in any photos, tell us in writing and we will respect that.
Equipment
Rackets and shuttles are provided. Please look after the equipment and the venue. You are responsible for your own personal belongings.
Our venues
We coach at Ark Blake Academy in Croydon and at Thomas More Catholic School in Purley. Both are rented school halls, so days, times and venues can change. We will give notice of any change.
Liability
We take safety seriously and our coaching is run with care. As far as the law allows, Badminton Unlimited Club is not responsible for loss, damage or injury that is not caused by our own negligence. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always the one on this page. We will let members know if we make an important change.
